Melony A. Sacopulos joins Pitt as Associate Vice Chancellor for Capital Financial Management

Melony A. Sacopulos joined the University of Pittsburgh as Associate Vice Chancellor, Capital Financial Management in April 2022.

In this new position, Sacopulos will provide strategic vision in managing the University’s major capital projects and real estate initiatives. She will also provide financial assessments of prospective capital projects and real estate dispositions. Working closely with the CFO’s Office, she will help ensure that the advancement of the University’s ambitious Campus Master Plan is conducted on a solid financial basis.

Before joining Pitt, Sacopulos served as Vice President for Finance and Business at Monmouth College in Indiana. While in that position, she provided leadership in institutional planning and execution along with operational oversight for everything from energy management to food service.

Sacopulos received her L.L.M. degree from Georgetown University Law Center and is a Certified Public Accountant in addition to being a licensed attorney. Last July, she spent a week biking across Iowa in the 2021 RAGBRAI (Register’s Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa).
